The use of live cell imaging techniques to pursue functional questions involving the cardiovascular system (including lymphatics).
Mechanisms and regulation of airway surface liquid pH and mucin secretion in epithelia, the involvement of ion channels in modulating the process, and development and refinement of methods for performing electrophysiology, live cell fluorescence microscopy, and data analysis.
Role of nuclear receptors in mammalian testicular and ovarian development and differentiation
Trafficking of wild type and mutant (temperature or drug corrected) CFTR to a functional location in the plasma membrane.
To elucidate the neuroendocrine, cellular, and molecular signals and mechanisms along the hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular axis that are involved in the physiology and pathophysiology of primate puberty and reproduction.
Chromatin and the epigenetic control of chromatin associated processes
The precognition of non-native protein molecules in the endoplasmic reticulum, and the intricate interplay between intracellular transport, retention and degradation.
The regulation of CFTR protein biogenesis (synthesis and degradation).
